creating, improving and maintaining effective workflows and content pipelines
providing support to designers and other team members in creating tools, defining conventions and solving technical problems in Unreal Engine
working with designers focused on environments, assets, shaders, materials, lighting, VFX and training the team in asset pipeline and optimization tools
analyzing and improving the inefficiency of designer assets and optimizing game performance in cooperation with engineers and designers
writing and maintaining powerful shaders that support and achieve the desired visual vision
solving problems and removing barriers for artists, enabling them to create exceptional quality at scale

Requirements

at least 4 years of experience in a similar position
at least one full production cycle with Unreal Engine
strong understanding of performance optimization techniques
demonstrable knowledge of software such as 3ds Max, Blender, Substance 3D Painter, Photoshop and others
excellent knowledge of the Unreal 5 Engine design pipeline and related technologies
strong understanding of Physically Based Rendering principles and material editors
the taste and knowledge of how to further use the Unreal Engine
experience with technical design and designer support
fluent knowledge of the English language at an advanced level
ability to communicate with programmers, designers and other team members
knowledge of current trends in technical design and game industry
the ability to make independent decisions and solve complex technical problems
